Psalm 134

  1. Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.
  2. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.
  3. The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

Psalm 134 is a short but powerful call to worship. It addresses the servants of the Lord who diligently serve in the house of God, particularly during the night watches. The psalmist urges them to lift their hands in adoration and bless the Lord, emphasizing the importance of worship and praise.

The psalm concludes with a benediction, invoking the blessing of the Lord upon the worshippers. It acknowledges God as the Creator of heaven and earth and expresses a desire for His divine favor to be bestowed upon His people from Zion, the holy city.

Despite its brevity, Psalm 134 encapsulates the essence of worship – reverence, adoration, and a recognition of God’s sovereignty and blessings. It serves as a reminder to all believers to continually offer praise and thanksgiving to the Lord for His goodness and grace.
